Where's the fastest internet in the world?

Speedtest.net have been collecting hoards of data and are finally putting it to use. They've introduced what they are calling The Speedtest Global Index whose purpose is to grant users access to aggregate speed reports from countries around the world.

That being said they've released the index for July 2017 which is the first of it's kind. The report will be updated on a monthly basis.

In the mobile internet section of the rankings, Norway has the fastest internet speed in the word with a bandwidth of up to 52.59 Mbps but ranks a measly 19th place in  the Fixed Broadband index reaching speeds of no more than 57.78 Mbps. Netherlands is the runner-up with a maximum bandwidth of 46.94 Mbps. Hungary comes in at third place with 46.24 Mbps followed by Singapore, Malta, Australia, UAE, South Korea and Belgium respectively. Iceland comes in at 10th place with a bandwidth of 36.84 Mbps.

In the Fixed broadband arena Singapore takes the cake with a broadband bandwidth of 154.38 Mbps. In second place is South Korea at 125.69 Mbps and Hong Kong in third at 117.21 Mbps followed by Iceland, Romania, Macau, Switzerland, Sweden, United States in their respective positions and Lithuania in 10th place.

The unfortunate part is that only a little over a hundred countries appear on the report in both categories. These are of course the countries with the highest rankings but in the future it would be nice to see a truly extensive list; for camparison's sake in the very least.
